PDH 808 Leyland Royal Tiger with Park Royal bodywork

Reg No: PDH 808
Chassis: Leyland Royal Tiger PSU1
Engine: Leyland 0600
Body: Park Royal SD

Built in 1953, 808 was one of a batch of 10 Royal Tigers ordered by the then new General Manager, R. Edgley Cox. 801-805 were Leyland bodied, with 806-810 having this style of Park Royal bodywork.

All ten later operated with the WMPTE, 808 receiving their livery. On withdrawal the bus passed to a school in Chase Terrace before passing to Wythall via a preservation group based in Carnforth who restored it to its present condition.
