Omnibus 153 - August 2003

Hello Strangers

The Museum is currently the temporary custodian of several interesting vehicles.

While the British Museum Of Road Transport is having some refurbishment work done at its Coventry home, two of its Daimler double-deckers are being looked after at Wythall. One is Coventry 366 (EKV966), a CWA6 with Brush bodywork. The other is SRB424, which is a Willwbrook-bodied CD650 that was new to Blue Bus of Willington.

Two buses from Colin Hawketts's collection are also at Wythall. Birmingham 1486 (GOE486), a Daimler CVA6 with Metro-Cammell bodywork, is no stranger to those whose membership dates back to BOPS days. The other is Southdown Leyland AUF670.
