THE LAST SOS
Two Leicester group members, Mike Cattell and Adrian Rodgers ask the question 'Is this the last BMMO SOS still in service'?
Photographed very much in everyday service as late as summer 2001 is this Maltese vehicle with the registration DBY 429 and clearly marked 'BMMO'.
The PSV Circle's Malta Fleet list identifies this vehicle as being new in 1938 and now carrying a locally built body, but is unable to identify the chassis type. However, an article in 'Buses' September 2001 issue suggests a '1938 Midland Red SOS type is still in service, but gives no registration details.
And so, incredibly, the question is asked. Any details would be gratefully received by Adrian or Mike.
